Leper Clinic - Kottaiyur, IndiaIn obedience to the Lord's guidance. another unique "Ministry of Compassion" was started by Christ For India in 1967, in another village in So. India. This ministry is among the detested and untouchable lepers.Through the help of our faithful partners, for the past 20 years or more, this ministry is being carried on and we have been able to provide free medical care and also give free food and clothing to these leper patients who come to our Clinic. These poor unfortunate and uncared for lepers come from surrounding villages as they are cast away and shunned by others and society because of their dreadful disease. They are therefore forced to live by themselves in remote villages without any food, sufficient clothing or necessary medical treatment which they need most. Jesus has commanded us to "cleanse the lepers". The expression and meaning of "Christian love" has brought many of these lepers to Christ through our Leper Clinic ministry in this area. We will be able to continue and carry on this worthy and needy cause and ministry only through the generous love offering of our dear Christian friends and partners in America, like you. The Word of God says, "Blessed is the man who considereth the cause of the poor" (Ps.41:1). Many of these lepers have also followed Christ through the waters of baptism and we do praise and thank the Lord for their faith and dedication. It only takes $20.00 to support one of these leper patients. |
