Children's Haven Of Hope

In accordance with the Lord's calling upon our lives to serve Him, He showed us an 8 acre piece of land in a village called "Elumin Kottur" which is about 35 miles from the heart of the city of Madras,

to reach out to the Orphans and hopeless little ones in the street in this village by setting up a "Home" for them. Accordingly, the Lord spoke to an unknown Christian couple and miraculously supplied the necessary finances for this Project, thus enabling us to purchase this piece of property and put up separate Dormitories for boys and girls on this vast campus. As a result of the obedience of these dear children of God, the "Children's Home" was opened in 1967. To begin with, we just took in a handful of poor, needy and abandoned children who were helpless, homeless and undernourished, knowing as we did, without a shadow of a doubt, that this ministry among these poor children was in line with the guidance from the Lord. Even without a single sponsor, we boldly took as many children as we possibly could, from time to time, into our care and protection, with the full hope and faith that the Lord is faithful and also believed that when He guides, He will surely provide, praise the Lord!

These children come from ungodly and heathen homes but we praise and thank the Lord that we are not only able to provide them with food, clothing, medical attention and a warm bed in a loving and caring Christian atmosphere, but more than that, they are fed with the Word of God every day during their stay in our Orphanage. As the Lord supplies the funds and also the Sponsors that are needed so much, we plan to take in more children as this "Home" is a very special place for them, meaning love, security and hope for a little child. When even one of these little ones are deprived of all in his or her own home due to poverty, it is only in Orphanages, Homes, and such places of compassion, like these, they can hope to survive and look for a future for themselves.

Over the years, many good friends and children of God have stood by us and have helped us to shoulder the responsibility and honor the commitment that the Lord has laid upon our hearts. While very little is expected of you, it takes only a caring heart to give a few pennies a day to take care and satisfy the hunger and needs of a little child and we believe that you can make all the difference in the life of one such child and change their "hopeless" situation into a "hopeful" one by sponsoring a little child in our Orphanage with just $30.00 a month, thus providing them with food, clothing. medical care, education and above all, the love and care that their hearts yearn for. We believe, according to the Word of God, that what you do for one of these little ones will not go unrewarded!

We are so thrilled to say that many of these children have not only grown up in years and have found a good future for themselves in life, but they are also bearing wonderful testimonies and some are even serving the Lord, full time in their villages, praise God! In and through some of these little ones that have learned God's love and salvation during their stay in our Orphanage, they have also proved as God's little instruments to win their parents and loved ones to the Lord.
